Pottermore is now officially open to everyone

5 minutes ago I’ve received a email saying that Pottermore is now available for everyone to sign up. So if you’re a Harry Potter fanatic, you should decently give it a go!.

“We are delighted that Pottermore is now open to everyone.
If you haven’t yet signed up, now is your chance to discover if you’re magical. Please visit Pottermore.com where you’ll be invited to give us a few details about yourself to find out.
After you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to visit Diagon Alley, have a wand choose you, get sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses, and discover exclusive new writing from J.K. Rowling.
You can also purchase the Harry Potter eBooks and digital audio books in the newly opened Pottermore Shop.
Keep visiting our blog, the Pottermore Insider, to be kept up to date with all the latest Pottermore news and information.
We can’t wait for you to join us!”

Are you going to sign up??

Old School: Access Weather Underground With Telnet

Well guys I’m back to tumblr after 2 months without posting anything. Anyway today I have something really great to share with you guys. For those who like old school command line access. I will show you how you can check the weather via telnet.

Weather Underground is a site just about everyone has visited at one point or another. Personally, I’ve been using the site for years. WU is one of the oldest web sites on the internet, and in fact is so old that that it’s original 1992 (yes, 1992) version was accessed via the telnet protocol. That original version is still accessible today and you can access it at the telnet server addressrainmaker.wunderground.com.

Enjoy and see you in my next post.
